My Real Museum Route
Last Saturday, I got up super early and power-walked from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier, hitting up the Hong Kong Museum of Art + Hong Kong Museum of History + Hong Kong Science Museum + Hong Kong Space Museum all in one day.
By the time I got home, my feet were about to give out, but my phone was stuffed with photos. Totally worth it!
The next day, I rushed over to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Hong Kong Palace Museum, and on the third day I added the Museum of the War of Resistance and the Coastal Defense, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Tea Ware Museum, and Railway Museum.
In just three days, I checked off all ten spots, stumbled into a few traps, but also found some shortcuts and I'm writing them down for you to copy.
Why I Picked These Ten?
All accessible by subway, the farthest, the Tai Po Railway Museum, is just a 5-minute walk from the East Rail Line.
Super cheap admission, seven out of the ten are free, and the most expensive three only cost 25 HKD.
Good opening hours, most are closed on Mondays, but open until 19:00 or even 21:00 on weekends, friendly for working folks.

Day 3
Tea Ware Museum 10:00-11:30
Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall 12:00-13:30
Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defense 14:30-16:00
I saved the Railway Museum for the evening of the third day because the lighting for photos is super nice just before closing, and there aren't many people.
I hit the 4th floor "Wu Guanzhong Hall" right at 10:00, with a floor-to-ceiling window facing Victoria Harbour. Art plus ocean view – total satisfaction!
Tips:
Get there before 12:00, fewer people, no waiting for photos.
The AC is really cold, so bring a jacket.
